Sophie T. Golden

Sophie T. (Baker) Golden, age 95, of Walpole, passed away at her home in Walpole, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. She was the devoted and loving wife to the late Joseph R. Golden.

Born in Norwood to the late Hallie and Stella (Kalnoski) Baker. She was raised and grew up in Norwood and attended Norwood Public Schools.

Sophie had the ever so important job of being a homemaker to her dear family. She took great pride in providing a safe and comforting home to her husband, sons, and all who entered her home.

In her spare time, Sophie enjoyed knitting, cooking, and baking. She was an avid collector of recipes from cooking books and magazines, and she often watched Julia Child for new fresh ideas.

Sophie was the loving mother to Joey Golden and his wife Lynn and the late Brian Golden. She will be missed by her grandchildren: Kyle Rowean, Erika Golden, and Jacob Golden. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends. Sophie was predeceased by her brother Edmund “Rabbi” Baker.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., Norwood, MA.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 10:30am in Blessed Sacrament Church,10 Diamond St, Walpole, MA 02081. There will be no procession from the funeral home, please go directly to the church.

Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole.
