Stephen M. Minkevitch

MINKEVITCH, STEPHEN M. of lifelong resident of Norwood passed away on December 25, 2023 at the age of 56. Beloved son of the late Joseph M. and Alice A. (McCarthy) Minkevitch. Stepson of Lois Minkevitch of Dudley. Loving brother of Patricia A. Ivatts and her husband Robert of Walpole and Cynthia "Cindy" L. Poshkus and her husband David of Newton Highlands. Cherished uncle of Morgan Ivatts, Bobby Ivatts, Geneva Poshkus and her husband Berkley Thimoteo, Tara Poshkus, Amelia Poshkus and Victoria Poshkus. Great uncle of Seria and Amara Thimoteo. Close friend of Nick Cannell of Norwood. Stephen was a 1985 graduate of Norwood High School. Family was everything to Stephen. Stephen worked at Casual Male for several years, however, music had always been his passion. His latest bands were Acoustic Army and Spunky Monkey. You could find Steve playing locally at the original Conrad's, the famous Lewis's and Napper Tandys or in Boston at the Bell in Hand, Purple Shamrock, or Coogans. Stephen was an entertainer at heart and loved playing his guitar and singing music in front of family, friends, and crowds. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 10:30am-12:30pm at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062. A funeral home service will be held on Friday following the visitation at 12:30pm. Burial will be private.
