Susan Diane (Brown) Oakes

OAKES, SUSAN D (Brown) of Norwood passed away suddenly on August 22, 2023 at the age of 68. Beloved daughter of Margaret (Childs) Brown of Norwood and the late Robert J. Brown. Devoted mother of Jonathan C. Oakes and his wife Corrie of Blackstone and Kevin M. Oakes and his companion Talia Zamanian of Attleboro. Sister of Robert W. Brown, Edward J. Brown, George P. Brown all of Norwood, Margaret P. Brown Foley of Plainville and the late Sharon Brown Peterson. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Susan loved cooking and was known for her fresh blueberry muffins and signature brownies. She had a love for watching nature shows, enjoyed the Alaskan wilderness and was an avid Sasquatch enthusiast. Her deep generosity will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 4-7pm at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062. Funeral from the funeral home Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am at St. Mary's Church, East Walpole, MA. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA.
