Thomas "Tom" C. Hamilton

HAMILTON, THOMAS C. “Tom” of Medfield formerly of Brooklyn, NY passed away on March 28, 2025 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Liz” A. (D’Entremont) Hamilton. Devoted father of Laura D. Hamilton of Norwood, Thomas R. Hamilton and his wife Katelyn of Charlton and Steven T. Hamilton and his wife Kayla of Medfield. Stepfather of Jacqueline Barrett and her husband Christopher of N. Attleboro. Brother of Carole Dittman-Hamilton of NJ. Son of the late Colin and Marion (Nichols) Hamilton. Cherished grandfather of Thomas A. Hamilton.
Tom received his Associate in Applied Science from Staten Island Community College and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.
He began his career at Long Island Lighting Company as a Division Manager for Gas Design and Construction of western Suffolk County. His professional journey continued as he took on leadership roles, including Gas Field Operations Manager at KeySpan and National Grid of New England. Tom later served as Director of Engineering at Hatch Mott MacDonald and concluded his career as Director of Energy Engineering at BL Companies before retiring.
Beyond his accomplished career, Tom found deep joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved gardening at his home in Medfield, fishing in quiet moments of peace, and relaxing on the Florida coast with his beloved wife. A devoted family man, Tom cherished time with his three children and, in retirement, took great pride in caring for his grandson and walking the family dogs. His hobbies reflected his appreciation for history and craftsmanship—he delighted in attending car shows, restoring classic cars, and collecting coins.
Tom will be remembered for his warmth, strong work ethic, and the love he poured into his family and passions. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the quiet strength he brought to all who knew him.
Visting hours will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 4-8pm at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday April 5, 2025, 10am at the Trinity Community Church 234 Walpole St, Norwood, MA 02062. Following the funeral service, Tom’s burial will take place at the Vine Lake Cemetery, Medfield, MA.
