After graduating, in 1966, from Norwood High School, Tom went on to get engineering degrees from both Wentworth Institute of Technology and Northeastern University. He was a United States Air Force Veteran who specialized in early computer technology for the Strategic Air Command. After the military, those qualifications landed him a job at Digital Equipment Corporation during the founding days of computer technology. He traveled to several countries during his tenure there. After that time in technology, Tom's specific attention to detail brought him to, what became, his next passion, Kitchen Design. Over the last 20 years he worked as the Manager of Kitchen Design at Pelham Plate and Glass in Pelham, NH. Tom's design work is seen in hundreds of apartments, condos and luxury homes throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Tom was a lifetime member of the Hickory Hawks Ski Club in Glen NH and was affectionately known as "Fall-Line Folan" His favorite home away from home was "La Hacienda" where he leaves behind many close and dear friends. Tom enjoyed having a brew with friends or family and he frequently had a story to tell; maybe even two stories. Known for his passion about Boston sports teams, he could often be seen watching and grumbling, where needed, at the various plays on the television. But he truly loved all things about Boston sports. Tom always looked forward to the family get-together, each summer on the shores of Long Lake in Maine. He would ride jet skis and then relax in an inner tube, floating away the cares of everyday living while telling more amazing stories of his life. He will truly be missed by many.
