Thomas V. "Vincent" McCafferty, Sr.

Thomas V. “Vincent” McCafferty, Sr., age 89, of Norwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born in County Donegal, Ireland and was a loving and devoted husband to the late Marcella (McDonnell) McCafferty with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage.

Vincent lived a long life centered around family, humor and the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. Vincent cherished his Irish heritage and traditions and carried them throughout his life. He loved singing Irish songs, whether it be with a band, while listening to CD's, or a singsong with family and friends bringing joy and laughter. Vincent will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Vincent is survived by his proud and treasured children: Doreen P. Smith and her husband David of Greenwood Village, CO and Thomas V. McCafferty, Jr. and his wife Joyce of South Yarmouth; He was the loving Papa to four granddaughters: Paige, Brynn, Kiera, and Alana. He was the beloved brother to Eunan and Kathleen; and the late James, Sean, Hugh, Patrick, Edward, Sadie and Maureen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered for his warmth, his deep love for his family, and the traditions he passed on. Vincent’s legacy lives on through his family, the music he loved, and the quiet comfort of a well-brewed cup of tea.

Family and friends are warmly welcome to attend visitation on THURSDAY, January 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood, MA.

Funeral services will commence on FRIDAY, January 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial for the repose of Vincent's soul, which will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 549 Washington St., Norwood, MA. Interment will be held at a later date.
