Vincent “Vin” K. Fournier, Marshfield died Saturday evening, May 25, 2024 at the Village at Proprietors Green in Marshfield. He was 80.
Mr. Fournier is survived by his cherished wife of 48 years, Margaret (O’Donnell) Fournier, his loving son David O. Fournier and his wife Elaine of England and his dear grandchildren James, Mary and Vincent Fournier.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Katherine S. Fournier.
Born in Boston to the late Vincent and Elinor (Sullivan) Fournier, he was raised in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of the City. A fulltime resident of Marshfield since 2016, he moved there from Norwood where he resided for more than 35 years.
He was a proud “Double Eagle”, graduating from Boston College High School and receiving his business degree from Boston College, he then went on to earn his master’s degree in education from the University of Massachusetts.
Mr. Fournier retired as the Director of the Guidance Department at Xaverian Bros. High School in Westwood after a tenure of over 30 years.
An avid college sports fan, he was a lifetime season ticket holder to Boston College football games. He enjoyed being outside tending to his yard and gardening as well as playing Sudoku.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 31st from 4-8pm at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. Funeral from the funeral home, Saturday, June 1st at 9am Followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Timothy's Church, Norwood, MA. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA.
