Walter W. Kuczin

KUCZIN, WALTER W. of Norwood passed away on August 2, 2016 at the age of 95. He was the loving life-partner of Louise Lawton of Johnston, RI and brother of Virginia Olshan of Walpole, MA as well as the late Anna Jones and Vincent Kuczin. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Born April28, 1921, Walter grew up in Jamaica Plain, attended Jamaica Plain High School and served in the US Navy on the submarine USS Medregal in World War II. After the war, he joined the Boston Fire Department where he was stationed in West Roxbury. Following his retirement in 1972, Walter stayed physically fit and active enjoying ballroom dancing, golf, swimming, fixing cars and household projects. A funeral Home service will be held 11am on Tuesday August 16, 2016 at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St, Norwood. Burial will be at Knollwood Memorial Park Canton, MA.
