Walter J Steele

STEELE, WALTER J. of Norwood formerly of Boston passed away suddenly on November 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Devoted father of Bryan M. Steele and his wife Alicialee (Lish) of Sharon. Son of the Late Norbert and Edith (Waldron) Steele. Brother of Edward Steele of Pembroke, Lois Maguire of Norwood and the late Norbert “Bob” Steele, Stanley Steele, Doris Duffy and Edie Kelly. Cherished grandfather of Hunter and Jake Steele. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Walter is a member of the VFW. He was a US Navy Veteran serving on the USS Okinawa during the Cuban Missile Crisis. As a young entrepreneur, Wally opened and ran multiple hair salons, pizza and sub locations in the Boston and Dedham areas. Those who know him best will never forget his big heart, huge smile and tall tales. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 12, from 8:30am-11am at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington Street Norwood, MA. Following the Visitation the family gather at 12:50pm at the main gate of the Woodlawn Cemetery 302 Elm Street Everett, MA 02149 for a graveside service and burial which will be held at 1pm.
