William F. Mccoy

McCOY, WILLIAM F. of Norwood passed away on January 21, 2025 at the age of 88. Devoted father of William F. McCoy of West Yarmouth, Timothy J. McCoy of Norwood and Mark S. McCoy and his wife Mary of E. Taunton. Loving Companion of Ann Benson of Norwood. Brother of the late Robert McCoy, Richard McCoy and Joan Kelliher. Cherished Grandfather of Katrina, Drew, Zachary and Kyle. Also survived by 8 great grandchildren. Son of the late Francis J. and Alice G. Kelliher. Bill was a 1954 graduate of Norwood High School. He was past president of the Norwood Council on Aging and was inducted into the National Blood Donors Hall of Fame in 2002. Bill has given 45 gallons of blood and saved or impacted hundreds of lives through his 60+ years donating. When Bill was not donating blood you could find him at any number of nursing homes or senior centers entertaining the residents with his country karaoke. He would also pick up and deliver food every week for the Norwood Senior Center. An avid Boston sports fan he was particularly fond of the Celtics. The visiting hours will be held on Monday Morning January 27, 2025 8:30am-10:30am at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. Following the visitation a funeral mass will be held at 11:00am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood, MA. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Norwood Senior Center 275 Prospect St. Norwood, MA or to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. 305 Waverley Oaks Rd.
