William J. O'Donnell Jr.

O'Donnell, William J. Jr. of Norwood passed away on February 13, 2018 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Lane) O'Donnell, Father of Bill and his wife, Susan of Norwood, Maureen Logue and her husband Paul of Scituate, Kathleen Pouliot and her husband Ron of Tyrone, Georgia, Jack and his wife Jane of Norwood and Tim and his wife Anne of Norwood. Cherished grandfather to William, Jennifer, James (JJ), Michael, Katie, Patrick, Keira, Seamus and the late Connor O'Donnell, Paul and Kaelin Logue and Ronny and Garrett Pouliot. Willie was born on February 6, 1931 and raised in Brighton, MA and graduated from Saint Columbkille High School in 1948. He honorably served our country in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952 during the Korean War. Bill was a 37 year employee of the Boston Edison as a lineman and member of the Utility Workers Union of American Local #369 in Braintree. He was a long time coach and volunteer for the Norwood Little League and St. Catherine's School and Xaverian Brothers High School. An avid boater, he was also a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing. Son of the late William J. and Mary (McCauley) O'Donnell. Predeceased by his brother Thomas and sisters Dymphna O'Donnell and Mary Ranahan. Also predeceased by his second wife Camren Sullivan-O'Donnell whose daughter is Bari A. Sullivan of Marlborough. Survived by brothers-in-law, Ray J. Lane of Surry, Maine, John Lane of Clifton Park, New York and Robert X. Lane and his wife Terri of Bainbridge Island, Washington and sisters-in law Patricia Raymond and her husband Patrick of Binghamton, New York and Christine Feehily of West Roxbury. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Monday Feb. 19, 2018 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am in St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018 from 2-6pm. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery with US Navy Military Honors.
